TIME  Magazine

 

Dr. Elizabeth Blackwell was featured on a special Issue of TIME Magazine In October 1944. She was awarded Scientist of the year for her pioneer works in the field of medicine. This was an incredible achievement especially during the time period of which she competed in.

 

She has displayed amazing leadership in forms of leading women in the right direction and proving that women are capable of a lot more than what was being recognised.

 

Elizabeth has left a long lasting imprint in the world as she fought for the rights and equality of women. Her legacy is Equality.

 

If society will not admit of woman's free development, then society must be remodeled.

The idea of winning a doctor's degree gradually assumed the aspect of a great moral struggle, and the moral fight possessed immense attraction for me.
